About Sunny Tails

I’ve been an animal lover for as long as I can remember. Growing up in Philadelphia, I was the kid who was always drawn to dogs, cats, and anything with four legs. That love followed me to college, where I first began dog walking - A simple start that quickly turned into something much bigger.

That passion led me to create my own animal care and dog walking business, Walking on Sunshine. I have the absolute joy of caring for dogs of all sizes, personalities, and energy levels - learning first hand what truly matters when it comes to comfort, durability, and safety. 

Somewhere along the way, I rescued my dog, Kai, a 6 month old street dog from Puerto Rico through Big Dog Ranch Rescue. Like many rescues, her transition wasn’t instant. It took time, trust, and consistency — a reminder that the most meaningful bonds are built slowly, and that giving up too soon means missing out on something truly special. She changed my world forever. Animals have always been at the heart of Sunny Tails. That’s why we donate $1 from every order to animal rescue organizations that provide shelter, medical care, and second chances to animals in need.

Countless adventures followed — sunny walks, muddy trails, beach days, and the kind of moments that remind us dogs make life better in every way. Now based in Florida, life has brought the greatest adventure yet: becoming a mama to my beautiful son, River Sterling. Between motherhood and a lifetime spent caring for dogs, Sunny Tails was born — inspired by sunshine, movement, and the belief that dogs aren't just pets... they're family.
